WHAT IS SEA TEACHER?      The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia.     Based on the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member countries to work together to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia,  “Revitalizing Teacher Education”  is one of the priority areas in building and strengthening capacity of teachers in the region.     The exchange is preferably for 4th year students whose major are in math, science, English and pre-school. The duration is for one month and based on the mechanism of cost sharing basis. Students’ roles and responsibilities are assigned weekly during the one month period (observe, assist in teaching, teach and reflect). Moreover, the host universities will provide mentors to supervise a

1. The teacher's teaching method that you observe       There are several differences and also similarities that I observed from public school-based elementary schools, private junior high schools, and junior high school public schools. The most striking difference that I observed between public schools and private schools is that the facilities available at private schools are more adequate, more sophisticated and more effective to use. However, the teacher's teaching methods between the two types of schools are quite the same, the teacher will provide motivation before the delivery of the material begins. Usually motivation will be conveyed through simple games or you can also display motivational videos that are related to the learning material. After that, the teacher will explain the material using various methods which are carried out alternately every day, starting from lecture methods, group discussions, and project-based learning. 2. TEACHING PRACTICE 🧑🏻‍🏫

1. Teaching procedures In the learning procedures usually carried out in the Philippines there are 7 activity sessions listed in the Lesson Plan: a. Preparatory Activities b. Motivation c. Discussion d. Generalization e. Application f. Evaluation g. Assignments     Learning begins with prayer, greetings and checking attendance. Then continued with the motivation that I created myself with a simple game that turned into a puzzle. After that, learning activities continue as stated in the Lesson Plan. 2. Time management and organization of activities     The time for one learning activity meeting in the Philippines is quite different from that in Indonesia, the Philippines provides 60 minutes for one learning session. This makes me have to prepare myself more to convey the material clearly and concisely without being long-winded in order to achieve the learning objectives. I use the time I have in such a way without missing any steps listed in the Lesson Plan. I used about 10 minutes for

1. Curriculum     The curriculum used at NEUST Gabaldon Campus Laboratory High School is the K-12 curriculum program, because since 2012 this curriculum has been designated as the curriculum used in schools. At first I was quite surprised why grade 10 students were still junior high school students, after I asked my mentor it turned out that there were indeed differences between Indonesia and the Philippines in this regard. We both have the same number of years of compulsory education during the 12 years of compulsory education for each child. However, the difference is in the division of time. In the Philippines, primary school is 6 years long, 4 years for middle school, and 2 years for high school.       Not only that, it also surprised me that there was no difference between teachers and lecturers. In the Philippines, you can become a teacher who teaches on campus, in other words, you can become a "lecturer" right after you graduate from Bachelor's degree and get a deg
