TEACHING PLAN 📋

1. Curriculum

The curriculum used at NEUST Gabaldon Campus Laboratory High School is the K-12 curriculum program, because since 2012 this curriculum has been designated as the curriculum used in schools. At first I was quite surprised why grade 10 students were still junior high school students, after I asked my mentor it turned out that there were indeed differences between Indonesia and the Philippines in this regard. We both have the same number of years of compulsory education during the 12 years of compulsory education for each child. However, the difference is in the division of time. In the Philippines, primary school is 6 years long, 4 years for middle school, and 2 years for high school.

Not only that, it also surprised me that there was no difference between teachers and lecturers. In the Philippines, you can become a teacher who teaches on campus, in other words, you can become a "lecturer" right after you graduate from Bachelor's degree and get a degree. It's different in Indonesia, isn't it? To become a lecturer you have to take a master's degree to be able to teach on a campus and only then can you be called a lecturer.

2. Teaching Plan

The teaching plan that I created would not have been complete without the help of my mentors. Dear Sir Jaypee and Ma'am Maya, they helped me a lot in preparing a teaching plan for my final demonstration teaching. They gave me examples of lesson plans that are commonly used in the Philippines, and that really helped me. Not only lesson plans, they also provide several choices of material or topics that I will present for my final teaching demonstration.

The following are the results of the lesson plan and material / topic that I presented during my final demonstration teaching:
