PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS 📚

1. The teacher's teaching method that you observe

There are several differences and also similarities that I observed from public school-based elementary schools, private junior high schools, and junior high school public schools. The most striking difference that I observed between public schools and private schools is that the facilities available at private schools are more adequate, more sophisticated and more effective to use. However, the teacher's teaching methods between the two types of schools are quite the same, the teacher will provide motivation before the delivery of the material begins. Usually motivation will be conveyed through simple games or you can also display motivational videos that are related to the learning material. After that, the teacher will explain the material using various methods which are carried out alternately every day, starting from lecture methods, group discussions, and project-based learning.

2. Learning materials and innovation

The material presented during the final demonstration teaching that I did was "Conjunctions", especially about "Coordinating Conjunctions". In the material that I teach, I provide innovation in preliminary activities or motivation to play a puzzle game which is still related to the material that I will convey at that time. Apart from providing innovation in preliminary activities in the form of games, I also give rewards to the group that successfully answers or completes the task first. This was one of the things that was considered good by the assessment panel for my final demonstration teaching activity because according to them, I was able to appreciate my students with the simplest things.

3. Learning technology sources used by teachers

The source of learning materials used by teachers in class is modules. This module is created specifically for each learning activity that will take place, containing complete material and assignments. Existing modules will usually be modified by the teacher and turned into a PowerPoint Presentation, I have really observed this in public schools and private schools using the same method.

The technological tool that teachers use when teaching in class is a TV instead of a projector. The TV used is a special TV for showing presentations for private schools, but unlike public schools, they usually use a smaller TV and the teacher will show PowerPoint presentations through the TV.

4. Authentic Assessment used by teachers

Authentic assessment used by teachers for students is in the form of practice questions regarding material that has been taught previously and will usually be discussed in class discussions or can also be discussed the next day before starting learning with ma. Then the assessment given by the teacher is checked together at the next meeting as a form of student understanding or as a prepare students before continuing to the next material.
